Recently, Don oversaw one of the nation’s largest healthcare transition initiatives, directing the separation of over $1.2B+ in assets across 25+ hospitals, 9 separate buyers, and 600+ FTEs. He advised executive leadership and board memebrs on TSA revenue recognition, forecasting, and financial oversight while managing multiple TSA exits and service extensions across IT and revenue cycle functions. His leadership has standardized governance, reduced operational risk, and generated over $35 million in revenue. He also led the insourcing of RCM and IT operations, supported C-suite go-to-market strategy development, and renegotiated 350+ vendor contracts, achieving $3.5M+ in cost avoidance while maintaining uninterrupted service delivery.
Previously, Don served as an executive at CoreCivic, where he directed enterprise medical operations including centralized scheduling, provider networks, telehealth, and analytics. His strategic initiatives reduced medical costs by $22 million annually, increased claims accuracy to over 99%, and expanded provider partnerships nationwide while achieving record-high employee engagement scores across Health Services.
Earlier in his career, Don held consulting roles with North Highland, Deloitte, and The Chartis Group, where he led post-merger consolidations, enterprise EHR implementations, and revenue cycle transformations. His ability to merge data-driven strategy with disciplined execution continues to deliver sustainable value and long-term impact for healthcare organizations.
Don holds dual graduate degrees, a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Trinity University and an MBA from Lipscomb University, along with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Trinity University, where he competed as an NCAA tennis athlete.
